A participatory publishing house for young people
The Editorial Factory

A physical, open and stimulating place welcomes teams of young people, who work in autonomous editorial offices, like true independent newspapers.

We are looking for specialists or enthusiasts to form our "steering committee!"

La Fabrique Édito - a home for learning, creating, publishing and making yourself heard

La Fabrique Édito is a collaborative publishing house that supports youth groups in creating thematic newspapers. This editorial and educational project invites young people aged 10 to 18 to speak out on major contemporary issues. By producing their own collective newspapers, they develop essential skills while actively participating in democratic life.

The steering committee - a participatory pillar of the project

The project also relies on the active participation of a steering committee composed of committed professionals with diverse backgrounds—educators, journalists, researchers, psychologists, communications experts, and social actors. This group provides expertise to guide, support, and mentor the teams, thus ensuring the quality, consistency, and success of the initiative for the benefit of the young participants.

At the heart of the project – a living place for meetings and creation
La Fabrique Édito is much more than a publishing house: it's a real space where people come together to create, learn, and exchange ideas. Young people fully embrace their roles as authors, reporters, photographers, and editors, supported by specialists who advise them without imposing—a place where ideas circulate, debate, and collectively take shape.

Social learning and personal engagement
Beyond media skills, the project promotes real learning about living together and commitment in a collective framework:

  • Development of work discipline and organizational skills

  • Ability to define one's choices and defend them clearly

  • Openness to constructive criticism and tolerance of others' ideas

  • Respect for collective rules and individual roles

  • Commitment to collaborative teamwork

  • Rigor and seriousness in the transmission of information

  • Encouragement of personal expression within a structured framework

  • Concrete experience of democratic dialogue and reasoned debate

  • And above all the pleasure of discovering and sharing

  • Concrete experience of democratic dialogue and reasoned debate

  • Pride in collective and individual successes

  • Joy of creating together , of discovering and sharing

  • And beautiful printed newspapers to offer...!!!

Three themes at the heart of the editorial team

  • Integration, equality and living together

  • Environment and ecological transition

  • Cybersecurity & responsible digital technology

These journals are not just academic exercises: they are real, broadcast, read, and shared. Their production is based on an active and collaborative method inspired by popular education and cooperative pedagogies.

An approach based on three pillars

A physical, open and stimulating place welcomes teams of young people, who work in autonomous editorial offices, like true independent newspapers.
